A. Purpose

Center for Bilingual Education (CBE) is recruiting NTU international students to serve as table masters to lead discussions on different topics on a regular basis with domestic students. This activity aims to strengthen students' confidence in speaking English and to promote the interaction between domestic and international students.

B. Eligibility

1. All NTU international students (including overseas Chinese students and students from China) are eligible to apply. A total of 10 spots are available. 
2. International students with outstanding English oral skill
3. International students with experience in facilitating small group discussion

C. Application Timeline

1. Application: now - September 19, 2022
2. Online interview: September 22 & 23, 2022
3. Orientation training: October 03, 2022

D. Procedure for each session

1. In each session, a discussion table will accommodate a table master (i.e., an international student) and three students
2. Weekly discussion sessions will be held.
3. Discussion topics will be chosen and announced by the CBE. 
4. Each session will be one hour long, comprising an ice-breaker (5 mins), discussion (50 mins), and wrap-up (5 mins). 

E. Compensation

Each table master will receive NT$ 700 per session

一、目的

雙語教育中心招募臺大國際學生擔任話匣子咖啡的桌長，帶領本地學生進行不同主題的討論。這個活動旨在加強學生對於英文口說的自信心，以及促進本地生與國際生的互動。

二、申請資格

1. 臺大已註冊之國際學生，不包含交換學生
2. 擁有流利的英文口說能力
3. 擁有帶領小組討論的經驗

三、申請時程

• 申請時間：即日起至2022/9/19 (一)
• 線上面試時間：2022/9/22或23，報名後將再通知
• 訓練工作坊：2022/10/3 13:40-15:10，請預留時間參加

四、話匣子咖啡流程

1. 每一個場次，每桌會有一個桌長（也就是國際生），以及三位本地生
2. 話匣子咖啡為每周進行
3. 每周討論主題將由雙語教育中心公布
4. 每場次時長為一小時，包含5分鐘的破冰、50分鐘的討論，以及5分鐘的收尾

五、酬勞

每位桌長將得NT$700/每場次

六、申請文件

1. 填寫線上Google表單報名表
2. 上傳3分鐘的英文自我介紹影片，包含姓名、系所、專長、動機等等。
